WHY LITMUS

We built Litmus from the claims side of insurance.

Claims experience showed us what clients need long before a loss: clearer exposures, better policy understanding, organized information, and someone who knows how claims actually unfold.

01

The Palisades Fire made the need immediate

When the Palisades Fire displaced families and complicated recoveries, members of the Litmus team made claims guidance available at no cost. We helped affected policyholders understand the process, organize information, and prepare focused questions for conversations with their insurance carriers. The work was not about selling a policy; it was about helping people navigate a difficult moment.

02

Licensed claims experience changed the coverage conversation

Our Claims Coaches are licensed adjusters with decades of claims experience. They use that experience to help people understand the process, organize information, and prepare for carrier conversations. Litmus provides coaching and support; it does not act as the adjuster for the claim. That experience also shapes how Litmus Insurance Solutions identifies exposures, examines policy terms, compares carrier fit, and helps clients organize information before a loss. No advisor can promise a claim outcome; the facts of the loss and the issued policy terms control.

03

Brokerage, technology, and Claims Coaching work together

Litmus brings personal, private-client, commercial, management, employee, and specialty insurance capabilities together with Claims Coaching and a connected client portal powered by Litmus Risk. Shop coverage with a licensed Litmus Insurance Solutions advisor, organize protection in the client portal, and request Claims Coaching when the moment matters.

  • Personal, private-client, and business insurance advice
  • A Litmus Insurance Solutions client portal powered by Litmus Risk
  • Unlimited Claims Coaching for Litmus clients; up to two hours at no cost for non-clients
04

Clarity, confidence, and control

People make better decisions when they can see the tradeoffs, ask informed questions, and reach a knowledgeable human. Technology should organize the facts; people should help interpret the stakes. Insurance availability, carrier access, and service scope vary by product and jurisdiction. We confirm applicable licensing, availability, fees, and the role Litmus will play before an engagement begins.
